American Remake of ‘Let The Right One In’ Begins Filming

Yesterday, the American version of the vampire coming-of-age tale Let The Right One In began filming, with Matt Reeves behind the camera.  The film, retitled Let Me In, is an adaptation of the John Ajvide Lindqvist novel and a remake of Tomas Alfredson’s Swedish film.

The movie will star Kodie-Smith McPhee as a twelve-year old outcast who befriends a mysterious girl (Chloe Moretz) who turns out to be a vampire.  Richard Jenkins will play the caretaker of Moretz’s character and actors Elias Koteas, Cara Buono, and Sasha Barrese round out the cast.

The setting will be moved from Sweden to a small American town in New Mexico.
