The film adaptation of the 1960’s television soap opera Dark Shadows has been in development for a number of years.  It sounds like Tim Burton is finally approaching the shoot for his adaptation.

Sci-Fi wire spoke with Producer Graham King who said, “We’re actually going to shoot that film next September/October with Tim Burton and Johnny [Depp]. We’ve been given a script. John August wrote the first screenplay. We’re making some changes, but the film’s going to be in production, as I say, September or October of next year.”
