In all fairness, this remake of the Wes Craven cult classic The Crazies is probably more ripe for a remake than, say, ‘The Amityville Horror’ or ‘The Hills Have Eyes’. The concept behind movie is incredibly simple: there is something in the water and it’s driving people insane, literally. This, of course, leads to full-fledged warfare between the infected, in non-infected and the military (the Modern Horror Trifecta as it were). This blood & guts popcorn movie would probably benefit from having more resources around in support of a carnage, not to mention a reasonably talented cast to keep it grounded. Check out the moody, morbid trailer for yourself so you can decide if you’re crazy enough to pay ten bucks to see the whole show.
